NSFOCUS Security Research Institute is NSFOCUS' security research institution dedicating to relevant problems in the information security field.

In order to effectively protect the computer system and eliminate any possible security risks, it's necessary to have a profound understanding to the system itself. It’s for this purpose that NSFOCUS Security Team (NSFST) consisting of a group of senior security experts is founded. Since the foundation of the team, NSFST has been committed to researching and discovering various security vulnerabilities in computers and network systems, if exploited by attackers, which could jeopardize the normal operation of the network. Besides, NSFST works collaboratively with vendors to solve their security problems and guarantee their interests. NSFST research achievements are released through Security Advisories or public documentations for clients, system administrators, non-privileged users, security researchers, and vendors, and this facilitates a thorough understanding of causes and solutions of vulnerabilities.

NSFOCUS has integrated research achievements into security services and products. By taking advantage of the achievements, we provide professional and forecasting security service proposals, and security products embedded with vulnerability detection, monitoring and prevention, in an attempt to deliver more professional, comprehensive and timely security solutions and safeguard benefits of clients to the maximum extent.

Since the foundation of NSFST, we have discovered a number of severe vulnerabilities in Windows, UNIX systems and some security products, and helped the vendors in a responsible way to fix these vulnerabilities.
