The NSFOCUS Security Research Institute is NSFOCUS' security research institution, dedicated to understanding and solving the latest challenges in the information security field.

In order to effectively protect computer networks and systems, and to eliminate any possible security risks, it's necessary to have a complete understanding of the entire security landscape - from networks and systems, to applications and all their many interactions. That’s why we started the NSFOCUS Security Team (NSFST), consisting of a group of senior security experts. Since its founding, the NSFST has been committed to researching and discovering various security vulnerabilities in computers, applications and network systems. Since the foundation of NSFST, we’ve discovered a number of vulnerabilities in Windows, UNIX systems and some security products, and helped vendors fix them.

We find threats that could not only jeopardize the normal operation of our customers’ networks, but also could impact the larger community as a whole. For this reason, the NSFST works collaboratively with customers, partners, vendors, and the global security community. We release our findings through Security Advisories or public documentation for clients, system administrators, non-privileged users, security researchers, and vendors, delivering a complete understanding of the causes of, and solutions to, vulnerabilities.

NSFOCUS has integrated our research discoveries into our security services and products. By doing so, we provide professional and forecasting security service proposals, and security products embedded with vulnerability detection, monitoring and prevention.  We do it so we can deliver more comprehensive and timely security solutions to our clients and help keep their networks secure.
