In the afternoon of September 22, 2006 China Network Security Forum, with the subject of "establishing a perfect network security technology assurance system", was held in Beijing International Convention Centre. NSFOCUS was specially invited to the forum.

On behalf of NSFOCUS, Dong Mingwu, the Product Manager of Aurora RSAS, gave a topic speech titled "Details Dominates – Non-ignorable Details in Vulnerability Management", in which Dong emphasized under the situation of increasingly prominent security problems, it's necessary to establish an effective vulnerability management procedure based on vulnerability life circle and principle research, as well as artificial management, in an attempt to ultimately solve attacking problems by the vulnerability management implementation provided by those automated products. At present most vulnerability detection products simply put emphasis on vulnerability severity instead of the overall consideration of asset, vulnerability, threat, etc. when performing risk analysis; lack of risk evaluation criteria results in disability to distinguish the importance of assets, and failure to guide the vulnerability remediation tasks. The risk analysis should be quantified, so that users can view the risk value and level visually, and implement trend analysis conveniently.

On the basis of huge Internet user group and industry group, the fast growing Internet market in China has been drawing global attention in the recent years, and gradually reveals its position of Asian-Pacific Internet communication centre. However, the ever-growing security problems accompanies by the wide application of Internet make the industry put high emphasis.
