NSFOCUS was awarded the License of State Torch Plan Project issued by the High-Tech Torch Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, becoming the undertaking enterprise of the state level torch plan project. ICEYE Network Intrusion Protection System, NSFOCUS’s most competitive product, is ranked in the state torch plan project.
The torch plan, authorized by the state in August 1988 and implemented by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC (formerly Science and Technology Committee of PRC), is an instructional plan for developing the Chinese high-tech industry. The tenet of the torch plan is to execute the strategy of Invigorating China through Science and Technology, carry out the general principle of Reform and Opening, bring the advantages and potentiality of the state’s science and technology into full play, and in harmony with the market, improve the commercialization of high-tech achievements, the industrialization of high-tech merchandise, and the internationalization of the high-tech industry. Requirements on undertaking enterprises are: they must have independent intellectual property rights, with national leading technologies, promising market, large scale, high market competition ability and large market share, and model function in the industry.
