NSFOCUS announced in December that its independently developed ICEYE Intrusion Prevention System (ICEYE IPS) 4000P had passed the strict test of China Software Testing Center (CSTC) recently after ranking top of the national IPS/IDS market share in first half of 2008, and becomes the first authority-tested 10G IPS in the industry. This demonstrates that ICEYE IPS has reached the top international level and marks a marvelous step in the development of 10G IPS.
Based on CSTC’s test regulations on IPS and RFC2544 benchmark test requirements, this test implemented by CSTC tests various aspects including throughput, delay, TCP/UDP background pressure handling capability, concurrent connection, new connections per second, attack detection and blockage rate. ICEYE 4000P behaves well in every single test item and gets a high score.
For test items about the performance of network layer, CSTC uses SmartBits 6000B and TestCenter SPT-2000A testers to test throughputs of a single port and of multiple ports. In the test traffic of various packet lengths (from 64 bytes to 1518 bytes), throughputs of ICEYE 4000P have all reached 100%, realizing bi-directional line speed forwarding, and discovering and blocking attack behaviors blended with normal traffic.
For test items of the application layer, ICEYE 4000P uses Avalanche/Reflector hybrid simulative HTTP traffic, and at the same time, handles over 3.5 million concurrent connections.
For test items about attack detection and blockage, ICEYE 4000P competes as well, discovering and blocking all attack behaviors.
As a leading IPS brand in our country, ICEYE IPS has won more than 20 prizes and honors from third-party tests since its release in 2005, and has ranked top of the national IPS market for several years. Targeted at the next generation 10G Ethernet, ICEYE 4000P will keep innovative, provide users with faster and more comprehensive high-performance intrusion prevention solutions to meet their requirements, and preserve its leading role in the national IPS market. |
