Information Security Industry Branch of the China Information Industry Trade Association (CIITA) held a commendatory ceremony of information security companies who paid great contributions for the 29th Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, during which NSFOCUS was awarded the Information Security Escort Prize for 29th Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
Vice minister Jia Shengwen of the Technology Department of the Chinese Olympic Committee spoke highly of the effective role played by the members of the Information Security Industry Branch of CIITA, and expressed his appreciation on the active and generous support from member companies of CIITA during the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, who satisfactorily fulfilled the information security protection task under the cooperation of government agencies, industrial departments and enterprises in face of a much harsh environment. Standing assistant minister Qu Yanwen of the Information Security Industry Branch expressed his gratitude for the contribution of member companies on information security assurance of Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
As a technique safeguard company of the 29th Olympics security assurance team, NSFOCUS followed the leadership of administrative departments including the Chinese Olympic Committee, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry Of Information Technology of People’s Republic Of China, gave handling opinions based on its competitive security capability and in-time response and thorough analysis on security events such as malicious code, denial of service and Web attack, and performed on-spot or remote processing as soon as possible. NSFOCUS not only helped administrative departments such as the Ministry of Public Security, 29th Olympics security assurance team, CNCERT/CC and Beijing Informationization Office complete their technique safeguard response tasks, but also maintained security of a number of industrial users in government agencies, financial institutions, telecom industry, energy resources and transportation companies, ensuring the smooth operation of information systems of Olympic Games and public infrastructure.
