On June 16, 2009, the "2009 Security Technical Committee Advanced Information Security Forum" was hosted by Chinese Computer Federation Security Technical Committee (referred to as Security Technical Committee) and NSFOCUS Information Technology Co. Ltd. With the topic "key international security technologies and development on RSA2009", this conference attracts over 100 attendees from institutes and organizations including the Public Security Bureau, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Information Security Standardization Committee, and network security companies, etc. Shen Changxiang, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhai Qibin, professor of State Key Laboratory of Information Security of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and NSFOCUS vice president Wu Yunkun, and security representatives from other security companies gave key-note speeches on this conference. Zhaolin, deputy director general of Network Security Bureau of Public Security Bureau, Fang Binxing, director of Security Technical Committee as well as president of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Shen Jiye, president of NSFOCUS, also made speeches.
Academician Shen Changxing dissected "American's latest policy on network space protection", illustrated and analyzed the policy that was recently released by American government. Professor Zhai Qibin expressed his ideas on RSA 2009 from the aspect of American's powerful control on international network space. Meanwhile, he hoped that "Chinese companies embarking on the world stage like NSFOCUS could exhibit their competence and make themselves be heard by the world."
NSFOCUS vice president Wu Yunkun also made a speech on "RSA main focuses", pointing out that “current main focuses of the global security industry are: Web application security, cloud computing, GRC, governmental and national security, identity management, and security cooperation, etc.” Why these focuses come up? And what are their drives? Wu answered these questions from five aspects: switch of hackers' attention, governmental and social security, switch of users' attention, focuses on attention economy, and up-rising IT technology.
As a technological company, NSFOCUS deeply analyzes Web security and cloud security --the two heated topics on RSA 2009. "Web security attracts people's attention because: on the one hand, Web application is open and interactive; on the other hand, information carried by Web application is the most important and sometime the unique asset of a company." Wu analyzed the protection of these key Web assets from organization structures and life cycle of Web application.
Cloud security is an absolutely hot topic of this year’s RSA conference. For could security, Wu thought that two points must be considered: one is security threat of cloud computing, and the other is how to provide new security services through "cloud". Cloud security should be targeted at creating a multi-layer analysis system: reputation system, broad scanning system, and closed-loop feedback system. Powered by the overwhelming cloud computing, security should also "walk in the cloud".
The atmosphere of this conference is charged with excitement. Yan Ming, deputy director general of Security Technical Committee, pointed out that "this conference is quite meaningful and necessary in this eventful period in security field." Attendees made further communication and discussion after the conference.
