A Chinese IT market share report issued by International Data Corporation (IDC) on last half year of 2009 indicates that NSFOCUS has once again become the leader of intrusion prevention/detection markets in China thanks to its dominating market share. Besides the international reward from Frost&Sullivan, this is another powerful demonstration of the products’ strong market leadership.
According to the report China IT Security Appliance 2009-2013, 2009H1, though some small and medium-sized enterprises slowed their speed in IT investment as a result of the financial crisis, the China IT security appliance market kept a 10.5% growth rate in the first half of 2009 and won better income than expected.
As a constantly important field for exploration for major vendors, the intrusion prevention appliance market increased by 9.1% in the first half of the year and reached the market size of US$24.8M, surpassing the size of the intrusion detection appliance market first time in history. Intrusion detection appliance is sagging. As the only one with negative growth in Chinese market, intrusion detection appliances reduced by 5.9% in the first half year and struggled to keep a market size of US$21.6M. IDC predicted that this market in the second half year would remain almost the same as the same time last year.

Its NSFOCUS Intrusion Prevention System (NSFOCUS NIPS) and NSFOCUS Intrusion Detection System (NSFOCUS NIDS) attracted people’s eyes with its marvelous performance.
