The 2009 Network Administration Technical Conference (7th) was sponsored by China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID group) and hosted by Netadmn World on December 10 at Beijing Shiji Jinyuan Hotel. Thanks to its competitive technical capacity and brilliant product performance, NSFOCUS won four prizes consecutively—Preferred Security Provider for China IT Operation, Maintenance and Management, Favorite IPS Product, Favorite Web Application Security Product, and Favorite Security Audit Product of network administrators during 2009 China network technology and product investigation.
The result about 2009 China network technology investigation was shared, indicating that requirements on network stability and network security top the rank. As to requirements on security operation and maintenance, security assessment takes up 30%; vulnerability management, 33%; security hardening, 11%; the rest are for others. With the theme of “How to Reduce Website Risks", Qin Bo from NSFOCUS Product Marketing Department made an in-depth technical analysis about the widely concerned issue of Web application security. He first analyzed the nature and cause of Web security issues from a macro perspective, and then introduced how to choose the right WAF products through the interpretation and application of the new 2010 version of OWASP TOP10, and which problems need to be resolved to reduce risks and ensure the normal operation of Web business systems.“A superior WAF product should be able to defeat various attack behaviors of different severity levels.” Qin said.
Participants also discussed about some hot topics like what problems exist in IT operation and maintenance and how to improve maintenance level and enhance maintenance efficiency, and so on.
